Raw Mango Mint and Egg Sandwich and a Vegetarian Alternative

By on March 17, 2016

There’s something equally magical and asshat irritating about summers. Right now, as I’m writing this, I’m feeling a little bit of the latter, because the electricity has decided to take a break and now it’s like sitting in a very slow cooker.  I have to admit though that this cooker is way better than the blast furnace that Kerala was. The humidity there is something else!

Easy Baked Chickpea Flour Crackers and Some Star Wars Musings

By on January 29, 2016

Star Wars is addictive. Yes, I’m one of those. Although I have always been more of a Star Trek fan, (something about that impenetrable charm of Mr Spock may have something to do with it) of late, over sisterly nerd bonding session with G,I have started appreciating the franchise more and more. Yeah, the prequel movies were amazingly bad (Really, George Lucas, Jar Jar Binks!!!), but we both can’t seem to stop obsessing about what could be. Theorising is something we excel at. But as slightly older kids, I don’t recall any major tears with either me or any cousins when food was involved. Except this incident with the sister and obviously, the banana fritters.

What’s Cooking at Cucumbertown: Easy Sweet and Sour Mushroom Capsicum Curry

By on November 5, 2015

When I was growing up, for some reason my family had instilled in me a major mistrust for mushrooms. My grandma, I remember rather distinctly would whisper about the neighbours who were cooking mushrooms. To this day, I do not know what the cause of that was. But my exposure to mushrooms came later, in college and at work.
